PAPERWORK: RIDE TO CAMBODIA

GUIDELINES: PREPARATION TO RIDE IN CAMBODIA (DOCUMENTATION)

Based on my experience rode to Cambodia on 14 - 22 February 2015, you may use this guideline as your preparation to ride in Cambodia:

              

     1. KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA:

• Send email to Malaysia Embassy in Phnom Penh at mwphnompenh@kln.gov.my
• Please attached the following items in your email:
1. Passport Copies
2. Motorcycle's Grant
3. Itinerary Program - Which border you that will in and out.
• The sample of letter, click here
• Malaysia Embassy will send the letter to you (2-3 working days). Example - Click here


• Print 2 copies of letter for Endorsement.
•  Bring the letter to:

                         ROYAL EMBASSY OF THE KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA 

                            46, Jalan U Thant, Taman U Thant, 55000 Kuala Lumpur, 

                            Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. 

                            Coordinate: N 03.15446, E 101.73340

• They will keep one copy for their reference.


2. DANNOK, SADAO (MALAYSIA-THAILAND):

• Please print and fill up 2 copies of TM2 form (Click here TM2 Form) before arrive Sadao Border. You need stamp both of them in Counter No #7 along with you passport stamping. They will keep one copy and we will keep one copy to be submitted at Chongchom Border. You need to pay RM 1 or 10 Thai Baht here.
• Get your "Simplified Custom Declaration Form" at Counter No # 9. 

• Note: Simplified Custom Declaration Form valid for one (1) month only
• If expired, you will charge 1,000 THB/ day from expiry date.
• Max charge: 10,000 THB.

THAILAND - CAMBODIA BORDER

                       CHONGCHOM (THAILAND SIDE) (N 14.43486, E 103.69996):

                         # The border gate will closed at 06:00 pm Thailand Time 

              

• Stamp your passport.
• Pass the TM2 form to Immigration Officer (Building on the left - Blue).
• No charge at Immigration (The officer very friendly)
• Pass the "Simplified Custom Declaration Form" to Thailand Custom (Building on the right) .

           O-SMACH (CAMBODIA SIDE)(N 14.433393, E 103.69931):

• Fill up Departure / Arrival Card (White colour)

• Stamp your passport at Immigration (very fast) - For 30 days onlys.

• Note:
• No fee / payment at Cambodia's Immigration.
• No requirement for insurance.
• No declaration requirement for motorcycle at Cambodia's Custom.
• For foreigner's motorcycle, no requirement to cover headlight at day time.
• Ride on right side.

CAMBODIA - THAILAND BORDER

                CHAM YEAM (CAMBODIA SIDE)(N 11.65065, E 102.91045)

  

• Stamp your passport at Immigration.
• Scan all the fingers.
• No fee is required.

         HAT LEK (THAILAND SIDE) (N11.65132, E 102.90900)

• Fill up the Arrival / Departure Card (White Colour) at Immigration in Counter 1 & 2.
• Stamp your passport at Immigration.
• Go to Counter 5, please give them, your grant and passport, the Immigration officer will fill up the TM2 form for you. One copy of TM2, they will give to you to be submitted at Sadao Border later. 

• Go to Custom Counter (cross the road-right side), please show your grant and passport, the customer officer will print out the "Simplified Custom Declaration Form". Sign it and to be passed at Sadao Border.

• No fee is required.

           DANNOK, SADAO (MALAYSIA-THAILAND):

• Stamp your passport  and return TM2 Form at Immigration - Counter 7 & 8 
• Return your "Simplified Custom Declaration Form" at Counter No # 9
